Tuesday, April 16, 2019 - 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Cerulean Wine - 1439 NW Marshall St. Portland, OR 97209

David is currently Director of Acquisitions & Dispositions for Olympic Resource Management.  ORM is a Pacific Northwest Timber Investment Management Organization responsible for the management of approximately 250,000 acres of timberland.  Prior to his current position, David served as the western Director for a national forestry consulting and brokerage firm, as the Manager of Technical Services for a large private timberland owner, and as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota.  He has degrees from Oregon State University (BS Forest Management), Virginia Tech (MS – Forest Biometrics), and the University of Minnesota (PhD – Forest Biometrics, MS – Statistics).

As part of his role at ORM, David is looking at additional, non-timber, sources of revenue as part of the income stream for timberland investments.   These include conservation easements, carbon sequestration projects, and various mitigation banking programs.  He is going to speak to us today about timberland investment in general and, in particular, the accretive value of these additional alternative income sources.
