Panel Biographies:

Anna Totdahl, Investment Officer, ESG & Sustainability at Oregon State Treasury

Anna Totdahl is an Investment Officer concentrating on ESG and Sustainability.  Anna joined the Oregon State Treasury from Prudential Financial where she worked for over a decade managing investment portfolios supporting various insurance and retirement products.  As an Investment Vice President, she was responsible for portfolio management decisions for multi-billion dollar, highly diversified investment portfolios.  While at Prudential, Anna implemented an investment analyst training program – including recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring new analysts; and participated in the Group Insurance Separate Account Committee, providing oversight to investment manager selection and performance evaluation.   She was instrumental in creating an ESG working group - looking at the existing investment portfolio through an ESG lens, alongside the company’s $800 million Impact Investment portfolio.  She’s also held finance roles at US Bancorp, Goldman Sachs and Exelon Corporation.

Anna holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA with concentrations in Analytic Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.  She is a CAIA charterholder and also sits on the board of MIMSI, a nonprofit organization supporting women through pregnancy in Haiti.

 

Paulus Ingram, Founder and Managing Member at Inventiv Capital Management

Inventiv Capital Management – is a Greenwich CT-based investment company launched in 2017 and focused on sponsoring investment funds and direct investments in infrastructure projects, real assets, and technology companies that promote the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Prior to founding Inventiv Capital, Paulus was Head of Hedge Fund Investments at APG Asset Management, responsible for a $25 billion hedge fund program and a Senior Portfolio Manager on APG’s Opportunity Fund. He has also served on APG’s Sustainable Development Investments Task Force and as a member of the Sustainability and Governance Team. Paulus was Chair of the hedge fund workstream for the UN PRI and a member of the AIMA Investor Chapter. Paulus began his career at D.E. Shaw and has over twenty years of investment and asset management experience focused on alternative investments. He’s a graduate of Amherst College with a double major, attended Oxford University’s Said School of Business Private Equity Program, holds a Masters in International Finance with honors from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Laws from the Duisenberg Honors Program, a special joint program of the Vrije University and University of Amsterdam. Paulus holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, the CFA Society of the UK Investment Management Certificate and a Certificate in Real Estate Development from the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Paulus serves as a Strategic Advisor to Capricorn Investment Group, the impact focused family office of Jeff Skoll and the Skoll Foundation.

 

Dave Chen, Principal and Chairman at Equilibrium

Dave is a Principal and Chairman of Equilibrium. Dave leads the firm’s strategy and product development process. His primary duty is to insure the growth of the firm and team while continuing our culture and shared values. He serves on Equilibrium’s Board of Directors.

Dave’s passion and commitment to sustainability is a result of his work in venture capital, regional economic development and climate change policy. In 2007, Dave saw sustainability trends that are re-shaping major commodity sectors, creating an economic value shift and an opportunity for market advantage. He formed Equilibrium to be a global leader in sustainability-driven asset management for institutional investors that delivered both sustainable alpha and intentional positive impact on our community and environment.

Previously, Dave was a general partner at OVP Venture Partners (2000-2007). His investments at OVP include @once (acquired by InfoUSA), Ambric, Intelligent Results (acquired by First Data), Net6 (acquired by Citrix), Tzero and UXComm. He served on the board of @mobile prior to its acquisition by Software.com. Dave served on the board of HNC Software until it was merged with FICO in 2002 (NASDAQ:HNCS, now NYSE:FIC). Prior to OVP, Dave founded GeoTrust (acquired by VeriSign 2006) and The Ascent Group; was Vice President Marketing Mentor Graphics; was an associate at McKinsey & Company; and was an early team member at Solectron (1978-1985).
    
Dave has a B.A. in biology, from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dave is co-owner of Patton Valley Vineyards, committed to making the finest Oregon Pinot Noir based on sustainable vineyard farming practices.

 

Brad Harrison, Managing Director at Tiedemann Advisors

Brad has direct responsibility for managing client relationships and primarily works with foundations, endowments and nonprofit organizations on effective impact investing. He works closely with clients to understand their goals and objectives, manage their investments and integrate their investment strategy, philanthropy, and estate planning into a cohesive wealth management plan. Brad leads the environmental sustainability impact strategy and collaborated on the design and development of the firm’s place-based investment platform, Invest NW, which seeks to drive investments within the themes of sustainable environments, equitable communities, and responsible economies. He leads Tiedemann’s Portland, Oregon office.

Brad is a frequent speaker on impact investing, total portfolio activation and environmental investing topics. He is involved with the Global Impact Investing Network, Social Venture Partners, Confluence Philanthropy, Mission Investor’s Exchange, and a number of other organizations raising the efficacy of impact investing. Brad joined Tiedemann when the firm merged with Threshold Group, where he served as Director of Wealth Advisor.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University.

 

Austin Head-Jones, CFA, CQF, Manager Research Consultant at RVK, Inc.

Austin is a Manager Research Consultant working in the Investment Manager Research department of RVK, Inc. Founded in 1985, RVK provides national investment consulting services to institutions including pensions, endowments, and foundations. Austin joined RVK in 2017, and is located in their Portland office. She is a member of the Alternatives team and covers alternative credit and private real estate debt. Austin previously served as an Associate Director at PAAMCO, a fund-of-hedge-funds in Irvine, CA, evaluating credit-focused hedge funds and researching tactical investment opportunities in the credit alternatives space. Austin has an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a BA, majoring in international relations. Austin is a CFA Charterholder and has received her Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
