  • Ben Webb - President

    Ben Webb joined CTC | myCFO as an investment reporting analyst in 2014. CTC | myCFO is an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs. Responsible for providing portfolio accounting services to the ultra-affluent, he works with a variety of asset classes to provide comprehensive reports for clients’ unique reporting needs. Ben is a graduate of The Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University where he majored in Accounting and Finance.
  • Greg Eyerly - Vice President and Technology Lead

    Director, Business Development. Investment Experience: 12+ Years. Greg joined Benchmark Plus, LLC in September 2014. Prior to Benchmark Plus, he served as HNW and Family Office Specialist at Common Sense Investment Management. Prior to CSIM, Greg had been working in the bank/corporate owned life insurance industry since 2001. Greg served as a Senior Consultant for Renaissance Bank Advisors (RBA). While with RBA, Greg’s responsibilities included: serving as a key senior sales resource for large case Separate Account opportunities and placements; servicing several key Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) clients; cultivating and strengthen the large case BOLI sales pipeline through chosen distribution channels; and, serving on the RBA Advisory Team focused on strategic growth and initiatives. Prior to joining RBA, Greg served as the Chief Operating Officer and General Securities Principal of MB Schoen & Associates, Inc. (MBSA) and their broker/dealer affiliate. Prior to MBSA, Greg was employed by Nationwide Financial’s Corporate Insurance Markets and Wachovia’s Benefit Finance Group. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with a major in marketing. He passed the CAIA Level 1 exam September 2013.
  • Sam Kavehrad, CAIA - Treasurer

    Senior Research Analyst. Sam currently sources, evaluates, and selects hedge fund strategies on behalf of institutional clients at RVK (Formerly R.V. Kuhns & Associates). Founded in 1985, RVK provides national investment consulting services to institutions including pensions, endowments, and foundations. Between 2008-2014, Sam served as a Research Analyst evaluating equity-oriented, credit, and macro hedge fund strategies at multi-billion dollar investment firm Common Sense Investment Management. Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Portland State University and is a CAIA Charterholder.
  • Trent Baeckl

    Trent Baeckl is a Tax Senior Manager at Perkins & Co, P.C. which was recently recognized by the Portland Business Journal as Oregon’s most admired accounting firm. Trent specializes his technical expertise in flow thru taxation (partnerships & S corps), sale and structuring consulting, and high net worth individuals. As a member of the executive management team in the firm’s real estate practice, he provides planning and compliance services working with real estate investment funds, developers, owner/operators, architects, as well as single family home developers. Trent attended the University of Michigan for his Bachelor of General Studies and received his Master of Accounting from Washington State University – Vancouver, where he has also served as an adjunct professor.
  • Lauren DeMasi

    Lauren is business lawyer and partnership tax advisor at Lane Powell. Lauren has extensive experience advising investment funds including hedge funds, private equity funds, hybrid funds and funds of funds, as well as private fund managers and institutional investors regarding regulatory compliance, structure and tax considerations. Prior to joining Lane Powell, Lauren spent the first ten years of her career in the New York City office of Schulte Roth & Zabel working in the tax and investment management practice groups. Lauren has a BA from Penn State University and a JD from Cornell Law School.
  • Austin Head-Jones, CFA, CQF

    Austin is a Manager Research Consultant working in the Investment Manager Research department of RVK, Inc. Founded in 1985, RVK provides national investment consulting services to institutions including pensions, endowments, and foundations. Austin joined RVK in 2017, and is located in their Portland office. She is a member of the Alternatives team and covers alternative credit and private real estate debt. Austin previously served as an Associate Director at PAAMCO, a fund-of-hedge-funds in Irvine, CA, evaluating credit-focused hedge funds and researching tactical investment opportunities in the credit alternatives space. She also briefly worked as a contractor for Pension Consulting Alliance on several projects related to their Crisis Risk Offset (CRO) offerings. Austin has an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a BA, majoring in international relations. Austin is a CFA Charterholder and has received her Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
  • John Hershey

    Director of Alternative Investments, Oregon State Treasury. Mr. Hershey is responsible for the Private Equity, Real Estate, Alternatives, and Opportunity Portfolios for the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund (OPERF), and reports to the Chief Investment Officer. Before joining OST, Mr. Hershey was an independent consultant. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Hercules Technology Growth Capital, a publicly traded investment firm. Before joining Hercules, Mr. Hershey was a Managing Director at Infinity Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities in the technology investment banking group. Before joining Banc of America’s predecessor firm, Montgomery Securities, he was an Associate at Wolfensohn Partners, an all stage venture capital fund. Mr. Hershey has a B.A. in Economics from UC Davis and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
  • Kat Miller

    Kat Miller is an associate in the Portland office of the global law firm K&L Gates, focusing her practice on alternative funds, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She advises both investors and fund managers on organizational, regulatory and securities compliance matters unique to private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and other pooled investment vehicles. She also has experience supporting corporate clients in a variety of industries including food and beverage, retail, and healthcare. Prior to joining K&L Gates, she was an associate in the Corporate and Investment Funds and Advisers departments at Shartsis Friese LLP in San Francisco. Kat has a BA from the University of South Carolina and a JD from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
  • Wolfgang Ortloff

    Mr. Ortloff is the Founder and Principal of Worden Hill Capital, where he acts as placement agent for funds and business ventures in the real assets space, such as timberland, renewable energy, and agriculture. He has over 20 years of experience crafting a unique background in environmental commodity markets by working in academia, risk management and underwriting, asset management, as well as project origination, development and management. He has a deep knowledge of forestry and environmental commodity markets, with a special focus on the development of climate change risk solutions in the agricultural and land use sectors. As a partner with Equator, LLC in New York, Mr. Ortloff was responsible for originating, developing, and structuring environmental asset products on behalf of Equator and its clients, mainly large commercial as well as non-profit forest landowners on the US West Coast. Prior to joining Equator, Mr. Ortloff served as Vice President of Swiss Re’s Environmental & Commodity Markets team in Zurich, Switzerland, which offers risk management, insurance, and traded and structured solutions in the energy, weather, and greenhouse gas markets. While at Swiss Re, Mr. Ortloff helped develop the first-ever insurance policy covering regulatory risk associated with the Kyoto Protocol, played a lead role in developing the infrastructure for Swiss Re’s entry into the emissions trading business, and led the effort to establish Swiss Re as the pre-eminent insurance company in the geothermal energy production sector. Mr. Ortloff is also currently a Board member of the Portland Alternative Investment Association PAIA. Mr. Ortloff received his diploma in forestry sciences from the University of Freiburg in Germany (’93), and a Master of Environmental Management degree from the European Association for Environmental Management Education (’97). He holds Series 7 and 66 registrations. Mr. Ortloff lives with his wife and 3 girls on their 13-acre Worden Hill Farm in Dundee, OR where they raise sustainable, free-range heritage breed pigs that they market to local retail clients as well as high-end restaurants in the Portland area.
